SANCTUARY
A printed interior collection inspired by secret gardens, exploring the many different flowers and natural textures that form quintessential English landscapes. Combining abstract brush marks and painterly effects to create designs inspired by springtime blooms.
‘Sanctuary' is my final collection from my third year of University, influenced from secret gardens and classic English flowers I have tried to create a overgrown, colourful yet tranquil collection. Designed for Spring Summer 2018 digitally printed on high quality interior and upholstery fabric.

The more blue based collection, ‘Sanctuary – Cerulean’ is slightly more graphic, with bolder lines and textures. These mark making techniques are shown in the co-ordinate designs inspired from different elements of a garden. It’s darker palette with predominantly blue tones and bursts of green and yellow link with the ‘Aloe’ collection making the designs fresher for spring summer. The ‘Sanctuary – Aloe’ collection is more colourful, with fuller more detailed prints, representing the overgrown effects from a spring meadow. The collection holds slightly more figurative and painterly drawings helping to capture the spring time blooms found in a classic country garden.
